Water damage
Burst pipes, slab leaks, a water heater that let go. We extract, find where it travelled, and dry until the meters read dry.
Read moreThis one went down to the joists — rot under the floor, framing exposed, everything out. Same room after the rebuild: new floor, cabinets, appliances, ready to hand back.
We handle the emergency work, the cleanup and the rebuild ourselves. Nobody gets handed off to a second contractor halfway through the claim.
How fast someone gets there decides how much has to be torn out, whether mold shows up, and what the job ends up costing.
Water soaks into floors, baseboards, drywall, cabinet bottoms and whatever is sitting on the floor.
Drywall swells, finishes start to fail, and that musty smell means something is already growing.
Mold takes hold, framing warps, and you end up tearing out far more than the room where the leak started.
If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did it, we come back and fix it at no charge. Manufacturer warranties on materials pass through to you.
No change without a signed change order. If we open a wall and find more than anyone expected, you see the revised number and approve it before we keep going.
Equipment comes out on readings, not on a schedule that suits us. You get the daily logs, and on mold work an outside lab signs off before we rebuild.
You get a person, not a menu. We talk you through shutting off the water and moving what can still be saved, and a crew heads your way.
We take readings room by room, use a thermal camera where water is hiding, and photograph everything. That file is what the claim rests on later.
We extract the water, take out only what cannot be dried, and set air movers and dehumidifiers sized for the space. Readings get logged every day.
Antimicrobial treatment and HEPA cleaning. If there was mold, an outside lab clears it before we take the containment down.
Once the estimate is approved, the same guys put the finishes back. We walk the punch list together before the final bill.
Most water, mold and fire losses are covered at least in part. What holds claims up is thin paperwork. We send the carrier daily photos, moisture logs and an itemized estimate in Xactimate, which is what their adjusters already use, and we bill them directly for covered work.
We are a licensed contractor, not a public adjuster. We document the damage and price the repairs; the decisions on your claim stay yours.
We work with every major carrier and most regional ones. You pay your deductible, we invoice them for the covered work.
Carrier names are shown to indicate who we bill. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
What people say after we have been in their house.
“We had a pipe burst in the middle of the night, flooding our downstairs. Ursa Pro was here in 40 minutes. They stopped the water, set up drying fans, and handled the insurance. They literally saved our home.”
Sarah K. · Santa Monica · Google review“Found black mold in our crawlspace during a remodel. The team contained it perfectly with zero cross-contamination. Very professional, transparent pricing, and passed clearance testing on the first try.”
Michael T. · Studio City · Google review“A kitchen fire caused massive smoke damage. Ursa Pro managed everything — cleaning the soot, running air scrubbers, and handling the drywall repair. The house smells perfect again.”
Jessica & David L. · Beverly Hills · Google reviewOur dispatch line is staffed 24/7/365. Crews run out of Claremont, minutes from the 210 and the 10, so most of Pomona, La Verne, San Dimas and Upland is a short run — and we tell you a realistic arrival time on the call, not a slogan.
If it is safe, shut off the main water valve and cut power to the affected rooms. Move documents, electronics and valuables somewhere dry. Do not walk into standing water where there may be an electrical hazard — call dispatch and we will talk you through the rest.
Depending on how far the water travelled and which materials are wet, drying typically runs 3 to 5 days. We use moisture mapping and LGR dehumidifiers, and equipment comes out when the readings say dry — not on a fixed schedule.
Yes. Mold can begin to germinate within 24 to 48 hours of the first exposure. Fast extraction and proper dehumidification are what keep a water loss from turning into a mold job.
Surface cleaning removes visible spots but not airborne spores or growth rooted in porous materials like drywall. If the area is large, there is a musty odor, or it has reached the HVAC system, remediation with HEPA containment is the right call.
Often yes, when it results from a sudden, accidental covered event such as a burst pipe or appliance leak. It is usually not covered when it comes from long-term neglect. We document the loss and work with your adjuster on the scope.
Yes. Saturated or contaminated porous materials — drywall, carpet, padding, insulation — are removed and disposed of properly, which is what stops structural decay and further microbial growth.
Yes. As a licensed Class B general contractor we take the property from emergency extraction and demolition through drywall, paint, flooring and final finishes, under one claim and one point of contact.
Infrared thermal imaging shows the temperature differences water creates, and moisture meters pin down actual dampness inside walls, under floors and in ceilings — so we open only what has to be opened.
For localized work, negative air containment keeps spores out of the rest of the home and you can usually stay in unaffected areas. For whole-home or heavy contamination, temporary relocation may be advised — we will tell you straight which one your job is.
Gear sized to the room, not whatever was left on the truck. Undersized equipment is how a three-day dry-out turns into a two-week mold job.
We are a service-area business: crews dispatch from Claremont, minutes from the 210 and the 10, and come to your property. There is no walk-in office.
Same crew from the first night through the final walkthrough. You will not get one company for the drying and a stranger for the rebuild, and you will not be explaining your job again to someone new halfway through.
Someone answers day or night. Or just call (213) 817-5704.
The inspection is free, emergency work on an insurance claim needs nothing down, and someone picks up the phone at 3am.
